Makeup Tip #1

I work for Urban Decay Cosmetics and I loooove their makeup! For the most part, people judge Urban Decay initially as "out there" makeup with their crazy, vibrant eyeshadows but truthfully, the makeup line is truly for everyone, at every age. I have done makeup for 15 year-old girls who are looking to experiment with different, creative colors to 75 year-old women who are looking for a minimal makeup routine. But before you put on any makeup, matte or shimmer, at any age: MOISTURIZE. This is my first makeup tip. It is good for the skin (preferably one with SPF) and the foundation you put on after will glide on nicely.

I recommend Philosophy Hope In A Jar or Clear Makeup and Shiseido Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - this one works well with tanned skin. If you are looking for a bargain, Oil of Olay has some really great moisturizers with SPF as well.

What's a good moisturizer to use so that I don't feel oily and yucky at the end of the day?

I have 3 that I like.

1)Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion UV Defense Combination/Oily.
It's sheer, oil free & has sun protection. A good, solid moisturizer at a great price.

2)Shiseido Pureness Moisturizing Gel helps as well and Shiseido knows about skincare.

3)Kiehl's Facial Fuel SPF 15. Vitamin-enriched and energizing non-oily moisturizer
wakens and uplifts dull, fatigued skin, while protecting against UV rays
